Starting an Endowment
Your endowed gift is an enduring vote of confidence in Seattle Central College and its students.
To create an endowment, your gifts of cash, securities or other assets are carefully invested. A small portion (5%) of your gift will be used to support your intended purpose each year. The balance of your endowed fund will remain invested, to ensure it continues to benefit its intended purpose in perpetuity.
Establishing a permanent, named endowed scholarship will help generations of students with financial need be able to attend Seattle Central College. Endowed scholarships can be opened with a minimum $30,000 investment.
Scholarships are funded each year in perpetuity through the income generated by your endowment. As the principal of your endowment gift grows over time, the fund will reach a multi-generational cadre of students, each year providing more robust support for your recipient(s).
You can also create an endowment to support other areas of the college that resonate with you including capital endowments, endowments for program or faculty support, Area of Greatest Need and more.
