All Garfield High Schools are eligible to receive the 13th Year Scholarship if they:

  1. Submit the 13th year application by the February 9th, 2018 deadline
  2. Participate in the Readiness Academy
  3. Successfully complete the Summer Bridge Program

Once accepted, students must enroll as a full-time student (12 credits or more) and maintain satisfactory academic progress to keep their scholarship.

Running Start students

Running Start students who plan to graduate from Garfield High School are encouraged to apply. They can receive the 13th Year Promise Scholarship during the academic year after they graduate from high school until they either complete Spring Quarter of their year of eligibility or complete their degree, whichever comes first. Running Start students must complete all scholarship requirements except for completing placement testing again unless they have placed into a developmental math course.
